Jermaine Anthony Jenas was born in Nottingham, England on February 18, 1983. He is a retired English soccer player who had a career in the English premiere league playing as a central midfielder for clubs during his professional career such as Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Queens Park Rangers. At international level, Jermaine Jenas earned 21 caps for the England national football team, scoring one goal.
Early Life and Football Career
He started with Nottingham Forest and made his professional debut at age 17. His talent rapidly attracted the notice of Premier League club Newcastle United, which signed him for £5 million in a deal a little more than a year later. England capped Jermaine Jenas at senior level in February 2003 and was the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2002–03 season.
Jenas transferred to Tottenham Hotspur in 2005 for a fee of £7 million, winning the Football League Cup in the 2007–08 season.
